tried this over a lazy weekend at home..
overall steps : marination-6hours,vegetables,pan fry- 20min
Chicken - depends on ur capacity ;)
Vegetable / Olive oil
Ghee (optional) = 1 tsp
Onions(vengayam) - a big one
Ginger garlic paste(inji-poondu) - 2 tsp
Chilli Powder - 3tsp
Pepper - 2tsp
Turmeric Powder- 1tsp
Yoghurt(thayiru) - 2 tbsp
Lemon - a big one
Capsicum - 1
Salt - 2 tsp
Corn flour - 5tsp for 500gms of chicken
Wash the chicken ,(boneless pieces preferrable) and make slits in each piece.this is for the masala to go inside and cook from within..
prepare a marinade :
this is the key thing for good taste..
place chicken in a vessel and add olive oil , chilli powder , turmeric,coriander powder,ginger garlic paste,yoghurt,garam masala,salt and pepper.Mix it well and take a bit of masala on the knife and apply in the slits you made in the chicken pieces.
Now squeeze a lemon or two and corn flour and mix it well.Leave the marinade in the refrigerator for about 6 hours.
Cut an onion into small pieces and a capsicum into slightly large pieces (upto your choice)
Start by heating oil , add the cut onions and capsicum.heat till the onions turn slightly brown
Take this out and heat olive oil and butter in a pan.
Place the marinated chicken pieces and fry for about 10-15mins.
Add the fried onions and capsicum and serve it hot
